Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) is a Digital Communications mode used primarily on UHF and sometimes VHF that uses technology called TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) to to split a 12.5 KHz radio channel in half by time. This means that two conversations can be going on on a single channel simultaneously and not interfere with each other.
