Amateur Radio (AR) is the monthy magazine of the national radio society of Australia, the Wireless Institute of Australia (WIA), serving the needs of radio enthusiasts in that country.

The magazine was originally for WIA members only, but is now also sold through newsagencies and magazine retailers. Accordingly, while there is considerable material sourced from the WIA, including news, the articles are intended for a wide, radio enthusiast audience. The editorial content is provided by an appointed editor, however, there is normally also a page by the President of the WIA.

The cover is full colour; inside pages are normally "black and white".

There are normally several 'build' articles, and commentary on current events including reports on radio club activities.
