Has anyone used a tuner with an Off Centre Fed Dipole? How well did it work?

Hi,

If I remember correctly - and I'm by no means a expert - the OCF does not usually require a tuner. This article from VK2TGG has some useful info.

Personally I have found that an OCF does not work well if it is not quite high above the roof (yes, not surprising). For my money the G5RV with a tuner is a better bet. Of course, your mileage may vary. The OCF is an interesting build but at my QTH a disappointing performer.
